A message from Hailey, Founder of Petite Pirouette
I'm 12 years old, and I've been dancing since I was three. Ballet has always been my safe space, the place where I feel most like myself. There's something special about the discipline, the grace, and the way movement can tell a story without words.
In December 2024, my life changed when I was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. At first, I was scared. I worried that T1D would mean giving up the things I loved most: dance, my dreams, my independence. But as I'm learning to manage my diagnosis, I'm realizing something important: having diabetes doesn't define me. It's just one part of my story, and it doesn't have to hold me back from anything.
That realization inspired Petite Pirouette. I wanted to create something that celebrated the beauty and confidence I found in ballet, while also proving to myself (and other kids like me) that we can chase our dreams no matter what challenges we face. Every piece we design is a reminder that grace, strength, and sparkle aren't just for the stage. They're for every moment of your life.
Petite Pirouette was born from a simple belief: the grace, confidence, and beauty of ballet shouldn't be confined to the studio. Every young dancer carries that special spark (the poise of a pirouette, the strength of an arabesque, the joy of movement) and deserves pieces that celebrate it in every moment of their day.

A portion of every purchase supports Type 1 Diabetes research, a cause that's deeply personal to me. When I was diagnosed in December 2024, I learned that millions of kids and families are living with T1D every day. Research is working toward better treatments, technologies, and one day, a cure.
